Al-Baqarah 2:10 — The Disease in Their Hearts and Painful Punishment

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says:

فِيْ قُلُوْبِهِمْ مَّرَضٌ فَزَادَهُمُ اللّٰهُ مَرَضًا وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ اَلِيْمٌۙ بِمَا كَانُوْا يَكْذِبُوْنَ

“In their hearts is a disease, so Allah has increased their disease; and for them is a painful punishment because they habitually used to lie.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:10)

This verse is a reminder that dishonesty, hypocrisy, and inner corruption lead to destruction. Allah warns us to stay truthful and purify our hearts so that we may be saved from His punishment.
