“True faith is consistent—no matter who’s watching.”

📖 Qur’anic Verse (Arabic):

وَإِذَا لَقُوا ٱلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا۟ قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا ۖ وَإِذَا خَلَوْا۟ إِلَىٰ شَيَـٰطِينِهِمْ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا مَعَكُمْ ۖ إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ مُسْتَهْزِءُونَ

[Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 14]

In this powerful verse from the Qur'an, Allah ﷻ exposes the hypocrisy of those who pretend to believe in front of the believers, but in private, they mock and betray them. As Allah says:

> “When they meet those who believe, they say, ‘We believe.’ But when they are alone with their evil ones, they say, ‘Indeed, we are with you; we were only mocking.”

— [Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:14]

This verse highlights the dangerous mindset of people who change their behavior depending on their audience. They wear the cloak of faith in public but reveal their true colors in private. Their faith is a facade, not a conviction.

Are we living with sincere Iman (faith), or are we just performing for others? Do our actions change when we’re alone, or in different company? True faith is constant, not conditional. It shows in both public and private.

🔒 Allah sees through every mask. He knows what’s in our hearts. Let this verse be a reminder to purify our intentions and remain steadfast, regardless of who is around us.

🤲 O Allah, save us from hypocrisy, and make us sincere in our belief and actions. Ameen.
