🕋 Quranic Ayah:Surah Al-Baqarah (49)
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala says:
English Translation:
“And [remember] when We saved you from Pharaoh’s people, who were afflicting you with a horrible torment, killing your sons and letting your women live; and in that was a great trial from your Lord.”
(QS. Al-Baqarah 2:49)
📖 Reason of Revelation:
This verse was revealed to remind the Children of Israel about the time when they suffered under Pharaoh’s oppression. Pharaoh ordered the killing of every newborn male child among them and allowed their women to live as slaves. Allah delivered them from that cruel tyranny through His mercy and power — a reminder that no matter how strong the oppressor, Allah’s will always prevails.
🌍 Reflection for Today:
Even in the modern world, we face many forms of oppression — injustice, corruption, and misuse of power.
This Ayah teaches us that:
No matter how powerful the tyrant seems, Allah’s help is always near.
Patience and faith are the keys to true freedom.
Every hardship can be a divine test meant to strengthen our hearts and bring us closer to Allah.
The story of Pharaoh and the Israelites reminds us to trust Allah’s timing — He never forgets the oppressed and never leaves injustice unpunished.
